Self Defense

Making Safety Your Own

How do we lead safer lives?

We want to be comfortable in our homes, not worried about possible intruders and wonder what we must do to keep them out.

We want to be comfortable in public spaces, whether populated or not, and know what to do if we're confronted.

We want to be able to stand up for ourselves and be in control of who does and does not touch our bodies.

We want to be able to get safely away before we are in an unrecoverable position.

And I want to talk about it.

Turns out that if you can think about and mentally go over the solutions to violent situations, when the time comes, you will be more prepared to deal with them and escape successfully. What I want to do here is to talk about situations that might come up and give you some ideas on how to think, create some new habits, and be ready for a violent situation.

Let's try it! I would love to start a conversation about safety and hear from you some of the things that you wish you knew about how to keep yourself safe.

I'm going to start with some of the things I see in the news and go from there. Come join me!
